RISI is the leading information provider for the global forest products industry. Founded in 1985 as Resource Information Systems Inc., it rapidly grew and established itself as the leading source of independent economic analysis for the global forest products industry. In 2000 it was acquired by Paperloop, the leading editorial company in this segment, making use of synergy to start its new global growth strategy. Presently there are offices in Boston, Brussels, Atlanta, Charlottesville, San Francisco, Portland, São Paulo, Shanghai and Singapore.

With headquarters in Bedford (Boston), Massachusetts, EUA, the Company hired us to supply a turn key project for its new offices in São Paulo, after the opening of Risi Consultoria em Produtos Florestais. Facility Consulting helped from the site search that met the requirements of the Brazilian branch, until the order of equipment and office and kitchen utensils. Only one meeting was held with RISI HQ executives, and base don this information, all designs and build out was carried out, with the client?s remote supervision.

The project is designed to meet the present team structure requirements, with a possibility of a 50% growth. It was developed in a way that it is only necessary to buy the additional furniture and install it, having left all infra-structure ready for use, without civil works. All servers are located outside Brazil with access through dedicated data links. During the build out period of 2 weeks, reports were sent to HQ on a regular basis. The existing space, which was totally segmented, was opened up and integrating, increasing natural light and integration between areas. The front of the meeting room was made in glass to insert it in the office context. Being a small space we chose light colors with some accents in browns and range to highlight walls and seating.
